Pretty incredible how the S keeps on pulling at high speed.

 

The Tesla EVs don't really get limited until past 115 mph. The Model S probably pulls hard to 130mph. If you didn't use the Ludicrous Plus Mode, it would probably be neck to neck with the GTR vs beating it like it did in the video.

I think Throttle House is one of the best car sites. Just fun to watch.

 

Model S Performance top speed = 155 mph
GT-R top speed = 196 mph

 

I didn't watch the video, but isn't the Model S limited to ~160mph?

Missed your post somehow before posting, my initial thoughts basically.

 

OK it wasn't a half-mile race, just a quarter-mile. Top speed is eh in this case.

 

Always something faster out there...Taycan Turbo S...992 Turbo S.

 

Sure looks fun. Too bad in the real world, it is a race to see who can ram into the butt of a Honda Accord first.

 

The outcome doesn't surprise me, the 2015 and up cars (and especially 2017+ cars) are softer and tuned differently and weren't as fast as the 2012-2014 cars in general. The earlier DBA GTRs were high 10 second cars (some around 10.8) whereas the later models were 11.0 second cars. Regardless, even the earlier DBA GTRs would probably lose 9 out of 10 times.

 

Sure...but 9 times out of 10, the GTR isn't stock So I'd still put my money on the GTR in the street

 

That Tesla Roadster is going to be insane once released. There's probably going to be nothing faster than that . Tesla is talking about Under 1 Second to 60 LOL

You mean under 2 seconds right? Even under 2 seconds I would probably pass out if that’s the case. The g-force would be insane.
