Ordered a new Encore GX today.
OK, Folks, I'll break the ice. I ordered a new 2021 Encore GX today. Has to come from Korea, so probably 6-8 weeks. Yes, I know there are incentives and GM Employee Pricing on leftover 2020s, but I felt a 2021 was potentially safer, reliability-wise....first-year GM products are often risky, except for the (former) Opel-derived Buicks. The current Encore GX, unlike the Encore, is not Opel-derived.
Tired now (it's been a long day)...but, after a nap, I'll get back this evening (East Coast time) and fill you in on more of the details.....colors, packages, options.
(Oh, and I'm changing the thread-title, because no one needs guess any more)

And did you go with the 1.2L or 1.3L for the Encore GX?
What about color? Did you get Black Currant Metallic which is the closest thing to Tahitian Pearl or something else?

Thanks.

Ha. I think I know why you're shocked...First, because I spent months (and hundreds of Car Chat posts) b**ching about Ford and GM dropping passenger cars, accusing them of conspiracy to force people out of them into other platforms, and strongly backing the long GM/UAW strike over American/Canadian plant-shutdowns. In that sense, you are at least partly correct....back then, I simply couldn't see myself in an SUV, particularly a small one. But there are reasons why I now need something smaller, better-equipped, and more versatile.....I'll go into them later in the thread.
And I think I know why you are not shocked......because it's a Buick LOL.

Thanks.
Yes, I could easily live with most of their products (and I still recommend them)......but I also have strong reasons to remain a GM customer at the dealership I have dealt wth for years. They have treated me superbly, and OnStar/Buick Roadside-Assistance also performed superbly in a recent incident I had (I'll explain later).

thought you'd have gotten one of the new Genesis Sedans or something Hyundai.
1.3L / 9-speed / AWD / Select-Trim-Level with the Advanced Technology Package, Hands-Off-Tailgate option, and the all-weather interior and cargo mats.
The Black Currant was my second choice...but it was a little too dark for my tastes, and not a real purple like Tahitian...more of a Black Cherry shade. In fact, it appeared to be very close to (if not exactly) the shade of Blackberry color I had on my 1999 Saturn SL-2. (The medium Blue would have been my third choice)
I settled on the Burnished Bronze Metallic exterior color, my first choice among those offered (luckily, Buick carried that color over for 2021, and did not drop it)...and the two-tone black/ivory cloth/Leatherette interior. I tend to dislike monotone black interiors, and I didn't like the two-tone black/brown. I ordered what I thought was the sharpest-looking color combination.

The AWD version (which I ordered) doesn't come wth the 1.2L...and it includes the GM 9-speed instead of a CVT, a slightly less-beefy version of the 9-speed in my Lacrosse.
