so is this just a refresh, or did they move up the new design?
it's absurd that toyota would even consider dragging out the model life cycle for 10 years.
so much money, and they're still counting beans and can't do a standard 7 year cycle.

Full-length taillights are more of a luxury car thing, and less of a sports sedan thing. The press comments have it backwards.

Full width tail light... just the next phase of industry wide design consensus including 4-door coupes, floating roofs, tablet infotainment screens and big a$$ grilles....

Japanese Mag-X says it's just a major refresh like 4.5LS as a stop gap to full electrification.

They reckon October this year, but I don't know if that is for the Japanese domestic market or the US market.

Makes sense since they are now selling the ES there and it seems to be doing better.

So the IS will adopt the ES's tail lights. Not a bad design if sales of the ES is anything to go by.

The ES?
Maybe you mean the UX?
