Love that new color. It does seem like some options will be available, but hopefully it comes fully equipped. Regardless, like all Acuras, they are going to be giving these away which will be very attractive. If it wasn't for the horrendous interior, I'd seriously consider it this summer, but we shall see.

The base Type S will be missing most of the luxury features from the Advance Package, so it won't be fully loaded from the get-go. Acura ought to at least otherwise offer these options in a package, because them not being available would put this car at a major disadvantage compared to every other sports luxury sedan. And right now, this car needs all the help it can get to sell.
My best friend is a Honda guy, has had his 2008 Civic Si sedan since new. It's getting close to 200,000 miles so he's getting the itch for a new car. He had his sights on the Civic Type-R which we went to look at, but dealers in the Bay Area are marking them up 10 grand. I'd been telling him to 'grow up' (jokingly) and get an Acura with SH-AWD. I have a connection over at Acura so two weeks ago we went to take a look at the TLX. We drove a 2.0 SH-AWD with Advance Package. Suffice to say he loved it, and crossed the Type-R off his list. But he wants a little more power, so as soon as Acura gets a Platinum White Pearl Type-S with Red interior, he told my connection "I'll buy it." I'm excited for him and the new Type-S. The car looks A LOT better in person than photos, and the interior is assembled well. The touchpad is a little worse than Lexus's IMO but it's not too bad and there are a few redundant controls.

That gold color is pretty striking. I would definitely do a double take on that. If you can get the car for low $50k, I think it will be a good seller as the IS500 and its competitors (M340) are in the $60k range. I'm not a fan of the center console design but the seats look pretty nice
