i searched but didn't see any somewhat recent posts or interests on tundra's. anyone else here got love (or hate) for the gas guzzling, low mpg tundra's? lol. they're getting rid of the 3UR-FE 5.7L and moving to a tt v6
this is my 08 i've had since new. trd supercharged at 29k miles and it has 83k now. i thought about buying a new one but it's the same platform from 07-20 and they no longer make the trd branded supercharger. so i've been away from the rc f for a bit refreshing the tundra. added a fox stage 4 lift, trd big brake kit, amp power steps and complete 9 spkr jl and kenwood audio upgrade. fell back in love with it after 12 yrs of ownership. led headlights and a more modern grill are next.
the tundra and rc f are powerful and fast enough for me so my plan is to keep both v8's until i croak...maybe another 30yrs? lol.
I still think the tundra is the best looking pick up on the market. For a 13 year old design with minor refresh I am surprised I still find it better looking than any other manufacturer.
Yours look great and tastefully nodded imo. Those superchargers are rare aren't they?
Love the 3UR-FE in my LX, Just turned 110K miles and no issues in the 3 years I've owned it. Plan to keep it forever. I am looking forward to seeing the new Land Cruiser and LX570 300-Series redesign with the Twin Turbo V6.
We have the same taste in body color and black wheels

thanks man, i love this thing. yeah totally rare. mine was the first to be sc'd at my local dealer yrs back. i always look for signs but never see another. if you see one with a smaller intercooler in front of the radiator, yeah...boosted!

super nice! yeah i'm trying to keep an open mind about the transition to tt v6's but so much love for v8's so just keep what i have for awhile.
I still wish they kept the TRD supercharger. Nice truck my 2010 was Barcelona red end up selling it to my nephew it has over 215k on it with no problems
thanks man! yeah, i honestly don’t know. lol. it’s a base (grade) trim so i don’t have electronics to tell me or ever added them.
my guess between 10-11mpg. you do technically get better mpgs with boost but that savings is offset because need to run 91+ octane and your right foot gets heavier for some reason.

nice! keeping it in the family works for sure! hes lucky!
yeah me too on trd branded. you can get 2019 tundra and get the magnusson charger (they made the trd) but not all dealerships are warrantying them to my knowledge. no tune yet for 2020. so i just kept mine and going full bore on refresh.
