I don't love the styling of the Telluride, but in that picture IMHO its better looking than the Highlander,

I care more about the interior appointments in SUVs. The Koreans do it better.

618 miles per tank of gas. For the 2020 Hybrid HL.

Saw a 2020 HL for the first time yesterday in black. It doesnt look all that different and it was boring looking.

I think they look a lot different, but do agree the new ones are pretty boring in appearance.

I would have thought it was the previous gen if I was looking at the side profile or I wasnt paying attention to the grill.

That surprises me, as I see little to no similarity. The first new Highlander I saw I confused for a Subaru. Oops...

The small wheelbase on the new highlander really cheapens the look. Palisade is 1" longer, 2" longer wheelbase, and 2" wider making it feel more airy inside.

Highlander would certainly benefit from a longer wheelbase. I do like the new one, but still prefer the styling of the outgoing model, though I will admit that I am biased on that.

I think it is done on purpose. It’s the ”safe” bet. So in a way, it should have safe styling that is not too offensive or look at me.

The front looks much more aggressive in pictures than it does in person.

I saw one this morning. I don’t think it looks aggressive. Looks very relaxed and easy going

Agreed. In person it's very soft.
