I’m looking to get my car’s quarter panel repainted. Which paint brand does Toyota/Lexus use? I’ve shopped within my local body shops and one of them use PPG, one uses DuPont, and I forgot the other one. Ideally I want to use original paint brand to repaint the quarter panel.

Bonus question: I’m a bit paranoid that my local shops say they will sand the affected area and blend the color, then sand the whole panel of the clear coat to prime it. Are these really the proper procedures?
