It is a little disconcerting for people waiting on an all new redesign. This really signals this gen GX will stick around for another 3 to 5 yrs.

So Lexus has the Canadian spec Overland model. So interesting to see Lexus have the Lc500 cabriolet, LF30 and the GX.

Apparently the GX is unbelievably strong in the 2nd hand aftermarket overland crowd. That is why they did it. I will say it drew a lot of attention

Hmm maybe I should buy mine out after my lease ends. Future cult classic and collectible.

Very cool, I think they would have a small but fanatical market if they actually sold it.

I do have to say though....nothing says "roughing it" like a $52,000 self-deploying tent.

Lol. I know right. Even comes with a shower as well. Big theme at the show was lifestyle, all the brands were promoting it more than ever. From snow mobiles on GM and Tundra trucks to outdoor camping on most of the Ford Rangers. Chevrolet had hitch hammocks which was a big hit.

The OR series are impressive. The only reason I would be doing this, if the marketing team decided they want to use this as ploy to get those second hand buyers of LXes converted into new GXers lol

Yeah perhaps. Everything is about lifestyle at the show. I don't think most overlanders would likely buy new GX models. Maybe the aftermarket parts are available at Lexus
