Rather than ride with my parents in the Escalade, I preferred to take a separate car. It would be a hassle parking sometimes but was worth it to not sit in the back. Now that she’s downsized to a 328i sedan, she realizes that it was nice having extra space.
Are there any other SUV’s or vans with a roomy third row outside of the long wheelbase large GM and Ford SUV’s?
the chevy traverse is worth a look. as has been discussed, alex on autos is impressed with the telluride and palisade third rows but traverse is still likely bigger.Originally Posted by Kira X

The third row in a lot vehicles is barely big enough for small children.Rather than ride with my parents in the Escalade, I preferred to take a separate car. Greetings from the beach where I've been using my third row all week. Not a hoax, and likely will never own another two row SUV. Even when driving the kids around isn't an issue, its just really nice to have that third row when you need it.
And I will also say, while my Pacifica is a steaming pile of garbage, the stow n go second row seats are awesome. We have the kids carseats in the third row, one second row seat stowed, and my mother riding in the other second row seat...that configuration is awesome.

Agree. My wife has an Acura MDX and the 3rd row comes in very handy when carting extra kids around. Also the 3rd row folds flat so that when we do not need the 3rd rows seats we have extra storage. Why would anyone want to take a 2nd vehicle, if one will do? 3rd row works for us and many other families we know as well. Originally Posted by SW17LS

Same experience here. We have out-of-town family here this week. The third row of our Highlander has been heavily used and very much appreciated.
