but i think you'd be in heaven in a k900.
i know it's got more tech than you'd like, and is probably priced more than you want to pay,

Sorry, but I'm not convinced that large sedans are a niche. The auto companies are trying to convince us of that, though, because they want to move people out of sedans into SUVs, where they make more money per unit. It's a marketing/PR ploy to try and make more profit per unit.

I drove a Cadenza before I selected my 2019 ES350. They were surprisingly close in room, comfort, and performance. When we got down to real dollars, my ES350 UL was just a bit cheaper to lease than a loaded Cadenza. The car I really wanted was the K900, but the good Kia dealer here in town was not able to sell them. The dealer that could sell them was not acceptable from a business practice standpoint. (Picture the salesman in a green plaid sport coat and white shoes telling my wife that we should buy it because the color matched her eyes. I was afraid she was going to punch him!) Not really quite that bad but close.
The Cadenza is still Kia "old school" but the guys behind the Stinger are working on the next gen cars. The K900 is their vision for a luxury sedan.
