I am wondering if it is a Lexus platform thing? Seems like the tires they are using are of decent quality and treadlife. But just seems odd an Avalon does not carry the stickers. Or any of the new Corolla SE models with 40 series tires

My '07 IS had the same thing.

Part of it might be the front suspension design. ISs are known to have inner tire wear in the fronts, and they are usually toast by 20k.

The interesting thing is that while everyone is concerned about treadwear, as mentioned, full blown summers like Pilot Super Sports and Pilot Sport 4S, often considered the cream of the crop, have 30k warranties. On the other hand, highly rated Michelin Premier all-season tires, in which Michelin did the 59 oz orange juice thing, i.e. start the tires at 8.5/32, have been known to be tossed as early as 25-35k. They are not high performance tires yet made from sunflowers. Go figure.
