Just not what I’m interested in.

Model 3s are also considerably more expensive than a Lexus IS..
Agree 100%. The Model 3 interior is even uglier than the Model S. The S is more than twice as expensive as a fully loaded ES 300h. I own a 2017 ES 300h and Rx 450h. I did the calculations of gas versus electricity and maintenance on our vehicles compared to a Tesla and the Tesla was much more expensive. No way in the world I would exchange an uglier car that is twice as much and more to maintain that is ranked 27 out of 29 in reliability. Lexus is #1 in reliability by Consumer Reports and #1 seven years in a row by J D Power. Consumer Reports listed their ten dogs to avoid and the Model X was #1. With his being said I will be one of the first to buy an EV when Lexus produces one. USA Today had a ranking of the 25 most expensive cars to insure and the Model S was #1. The insurance on a Model 3 is the same as a Porsche.

If this was a reliability or initial/quality/Build survey...
the graphic is based 100% on customer satisfaction of each vehicle which INCLUDES driving experience, comfort, value, styling, and audio controls of each vehicle.

Do you think a model with subpar reliability would be at or near the top?
Do you think the Model 3 has subpar reliability?

There is a chart for every argument, Tesla is ranked at the bottom of reliability

I like Tesla and I hope they stick around and continue. With that said, I don't think they are for me. But competition is a good motivator, so I think there will be a bit of a "Tesla-effect" on other manufacturers that we can all benefit from.

One of my best friends has a Model 3 and they've been very, very happy with it.

The cost of electricity to operate a Tesla for 15,000 miles a year is $580. Tesla requires to maintain the warranty a $600 annual service maintenance cost. Total cost for 15,000 miles would be $1,180. Our ES 300h gets 38 mpg. At 15,000 miles a year and gas at $2.40 a gallon total gas for the year would be $947. In 15,000 miles, I would need 1 1/2 oil changes at $60 and oil change that would be $90. I would need half of brake fluid change at $120 for one every 30,000 miles so half would cost $60. An air filter every 30,000 miles so for 15,000 miles that would cost $15. Total gas and maintenance for 15,000 miles for the Lexus would be $1,112. Checked with my insurance company and a Model S would be $400 more per year than the ES. I can make our annual trips up north and Florida without stopping to charge for hours at a time.

Some good points on actual operating expenses, but don't forget that the largest single expense on any vehicle is often depreciation. With Teslas, of course, you are also paying for the image.

Well a Corolla or Camry would save you even MORE money wouldn't it?

I hate hate hate stopping for gas. Looking seriously at EVs.
