That's good to hear.....and Kudos to Genesis for that. I had an LSD on my Outback, and it was just marvelous on slippery surfaces, even with all-season tires. Other vehicle-owners I've known with LSDs have also generally been quite satisfied.
Agreed. A well-sorted LSD is indistinguishable from magic.

Some automakers (Subaru, I think is one of them), have dumped traditional LSDs, because of weight and cost, in favor of electronic torque-management to individual wheels....although the torque, electronic or not, obviously still needs some kind of differential to get to the drive-wheels....unless you have separate electric motors on those wheels. I know, from experience, that the Subie LSDs were superb on slick surfaces.....I cannot comment on some of the newer electronic-management systems, simply because I haven't sampled them with AWD under those conditions, only on dry pavement.
I believe the GV is using a E-limited slip. Not as good as mechanical. Toyota has been using mechanical limited slips for a long time...my two 4Runners have Torsen centre slips in the centre diff. Lexus LC, RC, IS all use rwd torsen limited slips. Lexus LS, GS, LX and GX all use torsen diffs as well in the centre.
good for Genesis to offer it...but it’s inferior to a mechanical set up.
I'm going to have to see both the GV80 and the G80 in person. Watching a few videos and I'm not sure I like the exterior as much in un-touched, non-professionally-lit photos. I think the interior is a homerun, just not sure about the exterior yet.
Alex has his review up, and says that the ride is actually smoother on the 22's than the base 20's, because of the adaptive suspension. Both suspension setups are softer than the Germans though.
GV80 is gonna be the Korean XC90 and what it did to the brand (resurrect it).
For me personally, I`m looking to know how this thing does long term in terms of quality by looking at depreciation. If Genesis is following the 90s Lexus playbook, these should hold their value abnormally well, and should be overbuilt like absolute tanks.

That test doesn't make much sense. There are a dozen factors that affect depreciation, like lease residuals and available volume. The Wrangler is one of the least reliable SUV's out there yet fetches insane resale value. And reliability does not equate build quality, as all the German vehicles tend to be exceptionally well-built.
Right now, the Telluride and Palisade fetch ridiculous prices on the used market because of the inadequate supply, to the extent where the used models are more expensive than the new MSRP. That is my biggest worry with the GV80, especially with Genesis's almost non-existent dealer network.
