Any vehicle that is running, but stopped with the driver not in the vehicle -- including remotely-started vehicles -- runs a greater risk of convenience theft. If somebody sees a running vehicle with no driver, all they have to do is get inside and drive off.
But if the remotely-started vehicle shuts off when the door is opened, forcing the driver to restart with the key or keyfob in the vehicle, that reduces the risk of theft.

second, the car should not be able to be driven off without the key inside the vehicle.
third, why would the car shut off when opening the door IF it's the driver that has approached the car, with the key in proximity?
this is just an unbelievably stupid design.

first off, i cannot remote start my g90 unless the doors are locked... it may do it if they're not, can't remember. my jeep certainly did. so if it's locked, no one is just getting inside and driving off.

I just don't care for it. The sloping lines in the back look weird, the front overhang is too long, headlights are too squinty. Spending a few hours with them I really prefer the previous car (in post 2016 refresh form)
