ROCKLEIGH, N.J. (December 3, 2018) - Volvo Car USA, LLC, (VCUSA) reported U.S. sales of 8,181 vehicles for the month of November, a 4.2 percent increase versus November 2017. Year-to-date VCUSA has sold 89,437 vehicles, an increase of 24.5 percent versus the previous year.
The XC60 was the top seller for the month with 3,226 vehicles sold followed by the XC90 with 2,499 vehicles sold.
“With November marking the eleventh month of consecutive year-over-year growth, we have already surpassed total 2017 sales by nearly eight thousand units,” said Anders Gustafsson, President and CEO, Volvo Car USA. “We are well-poised to finish 2018 strong.”

ATLANTA, Dec. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), importer and distributor of the Porsche 911, 718 Boxster and Cayman, Panamera, Cayenne, and Macan model lines, today announced November retail sales of 5,673 vehicles. This was an all-time monthly record, breaking the previous high set in April. The total was up 2.1 percent from November 2017. U.S. retail sales for the first 11 months were 3.1 percent ahead of the same period last year, totaling 53,116.
November sales drivers included continued strong Macan demand, the new generation Cayenne and another robust month for the Panamera. The iconic Porsche 911 accelerated to more than 1,000 deliveries in a month for the first time this year.

"The November results confirm what we have seen all year, that the thrill of driving a Porsche of your choice resonates with existing customers and new fans."
Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) sales in the U.S. totaled 1,846 vehicles in November, up 5.8 percent year-over-year.

Selling over 1,000 911s in 1 month is insane.
The average cost is about $125-150k for standard models with basic options - not to mention this is really a 2 seater weekend type car.
Just speaks to the amazing brand value of Porsche and 911being the best all around sports car.

small sedans way off, but big sedans up, r8 WAY up, so probably profits up too.
maybe it's model year switchover availability too.

I thought I read that Audi had some sort of supply/inventory issue while they worked past some sort of regulatory (or other?) issue, which has recently been resolved. Anyone else hear of this? I swear I read it but now I can't find it. If true, that could explain their numbers.

The 2019 A4's have been delayed also. I was told they may not be available until January. I suspect that is why the A4 sales dropped off so much in November.

Problem with Corvettes, Mustangs and rest of American cars is the crap fit and finish.
Interior material quality while improved is still unacceptable overall. The gauges on the Corvette look like they are lifted from a 90s Malibu.
Personally im looking to get a V8 manual to replace my BRZ.
I love the GT350 but things like misaligned body panels, loose plastic trim, paint chipping, interior rattles are making me hesitant. Same for Corvette.
911 is over engineered in almost every way.
The 991.2 cars are close to perfect and the new 992 is even more impressive.

rnm said brand value not just dollars for features. if you show up some place in a corvette it 'says' one thing to most people. if you show up in a porsche, quite another thing. you and i don't care much about branding and image, but most do.
