What does Lexus VSPP do?
I'm thinking about buying a Lexus es 300h and my cousin who works for Lexus corporate told me that he can help me with a VSPP.
I saw on the Lexus website that it comes with VIP treatment, but I don't know what that means.
Does VSPP help with getting a better deal? Do I still need to negotiate price?
Basically, does having a VSPP mean I can walk in without doing research on good prices and not get hoodwinked?
Any information that can be provided will be helpful,
Thank You

The Associate Referral Program is designed to assist your referral in receiving "VIP" treatment during the sales process only. It does not offer the buyer any "special price." All price negotiations will take place between the dealer and the buyer. You, as the referring associate, should not discuss price or answer any questions on price including giving the buyer Dealer Total Invoice or an estimate price.

If it's the true VSPP program, then pricing is invoice-holdback-reserve. There may also be an Attachment A rebate on top of that. Pricing is not negotiable with VSPP.
VSPP automatically makes you ineligible for any of the consumer incentives such as special financing rates or standard rebates.
I also don't recall cousins being on the list of eligible family members so you may not qualify for this at all. Your cousin would need to request the VSPP certificate from Toyota and it would list all the eligibility requirements.
