The frame recall aside, there are other parts on these trucks that rust bad that are NOT covered by any warranty or recall. For example the front sway bar brackets on the 100 series. The actual bracket that's welded to the frame can rot out and break away and you're F'd... guys either remove the sway bars which is idiotic or if you don't know how to weld, and most people don't, than you're looking at big money to pay a shop to make custom mounts. Or the rear AC lines also rot out and corrode. NOT covered by any warranty....yet cost thousands to replace. Never hear about that either but I guarantee you there are at least 5 LX/LC right now sitting at the dealer getting that kind of work done.
