Question Rims, lugs, center caps, what to do next

Good day, CL people all over the world.
After 16 years of having this 2002 GS430 I am tired of her 17 inch OEM wheels. I've been wanting to change them for a long time, but I still have 6/32 on her MXM4 tread.
This is how they look now:

Hurricane Florence hasn't got here yet and I was looking to occupy my time, so I finally decided to try the new lug nuts that I had bought some time ago.
Here is the pic:

So, what do you think? Which lug nut color looks better?
And since I am asking, what about the center caps? Keep them as is, change the color of the logo( chrome,black,...), change the background,...
As always, I appreciate your input.
MD

The silver looks classy, the other set half-a**y

Did the gold L on the center caps melt? Why does it look so droopy?

I think your wheels desperately need to be cleaned.

Nope. Those are the OEM caps that came with the wheel upgrade in 2002.

Since you asked, I think the black lugs look better. I agree with Lexus 2000, though, that those wheels need a bath.

Cool, didn't know that

This L reminds me of the Laker logo L.

You noticed that?
Well, like I said, I'm waiting for Florence to hit my neck of the wood so it will not get done until she leaves. Who knows? Maybe she'll do it for me.

I would look into replacing the wheels, maybe OEM from another Lexus model. Those wheels are too plain for the car IMO since the car itself has conservative styling (which I really like).

At the very least!

Been looking for a long time for something I really like but have found nothing. So far I've narrowed it down to Enkei PF01 or RPF1, or maybe the Konig Interflow.

before buying new, why not try a can of plasti-dip in a dark grey color, only costs about $5 to try it. IMO the chrome/gold really looks dated.

also, I love these 18" GS430 wheels...

I like the chrome. It's the gold on the 'L' that I would like to change.

Looks fine with the chrome. The biggest improvement would be to keep your car and wheels clean. Make it look like new and it will feel new and different to you.

I like stock to aftermarket with anything, and so I agree, clean up the 17's and keep the chrome. I like larger rims from the factory "only" when the width increases, which is the case with the LS, not sure about the GS. So if factory 18's bumped the width up, I'd do it. But I wouldn't waste the current tires either, let them get down to 2/32 before making a move...

I agree. When they are clean they do look better. But, just like my wife, there is no amount of soap that'll make them look newer.
