The Audi and the Jaguar I-Pace are both leaps better looking inside and out than the Model X. They are both 25% less expensive. As a brand are much better in dependability than Tesla. Consumer Reports listed their 10 dogs to avoid based on reliability and the Model X is #1. By the end of 2022, Volkswagen plans on having 27 EV models. Bet they will be less expensive, better looking and more reliable than Tesla.

so is it Q5 or Q8 like? It looks fine, just not futuristic like concept at all... but if that gets them to reasonable price, awesome.

Also a lot nicer than MB thing

Such and uninspiring design. Whats the point of putting the screen for the side cameras on the door panel. A driver has to squint and turn his head and look down to see whats beside the car. IMO, Lexus ES implemented it much better in that regards.

Tesla's time is borrowed as the federal tax credits will soon be disappearing and actual profitable car manufacturers increase production of cheaper, better looking and more reliable EV. The Jaguar I Pace built out with more options than the Model X is well under $25,000 less. The interior and exterior is 100% better looking. The average insurance rate for a Model 3 is $2,814 which is the same as a Porsche 911. Musk must feel like the captain of the Titanic.

Tell me more about how you feel about Tesla I don't think I've got it yet.

Overall, another impressive offering from Audi. Exterior is modern, mild, and agreeable. Interior is once again the future, but now.
However, it is severely overpriced (and overpowered). This should have been a reachable, mid-sized, luxury SUV for the masses. One that would put Audi on the map, and do it fast before the others catch up. But the price is more than Audi's top SUV, the Q8. This disruption will conflict on the showroom floor when people see the price.
Do you mean under powered? Audi claims 0-62 in about 6.5 seconds that's decent for an electric but not stellar the Model 3 is around that.

it is certainly more integrated, but as you said, it is far less useful.

Hopefully in the future they will find a way to mount it higher and still look great.

I read 402 hp/490 torque and 0-60 in 5.5 seconds with the overboost thing. I wouldn't bring that up if the whole thing wasn't priced what it's priced.
And only 5.5 seconds with 490 torque? Must also be overweight.

integrated lcd side view mirror
but still unnecessary and stupid with that big camera stalk outside.

a normal mirror doesn't have that big of an aerodynamic penalty under normal driving conditions <100mph

and boring audi design

You have way to much time on your hand copying and pasting my factual comments over three different threads. Here is an idea. If you have already read them than don't read them. I sure hope we have new readers to these threads. Up your game and bring facts to your comments rather than snarky immature comments. .

Interesting car, we'll have to see how much makes it into the final product.

One thing though: The whizzy, spinning, sequentially-flashing light thing with the exterior lights looks like it was engineered by a 14-year-old boy for other 14-year-old boys to appreciate. Very cool--for maybe 2 days. But maybe I've turned into an Old Fogie. Or just a Fogie.

I think the Audi E-Tron interior looks amazing. Now this is what a luxury electric car interior is suppose to look like - not a Tesla interior design. (Not to hate Tesla but Tesla interiors do not justify the price-tag.)
However - I think the outside of the Audi E-Tron is pretty generic Audi looking and its okay looking. I like the back more than the front.

Lastly - while I do think this Audi E-Tron is more worth it than Tesla. I think, overall, its still overpriced.

The Audi interior is too busy, too much going on. Everywhere you look something is glowing.
