That's true. My point was really that the types who are interested in this car, based on the marketing that has been done, can't afford it. Then again, "a local dentist" (according to a service tech at my dealership) was the first customer they had to get an LC. So then again perhaps I am wrong.

It could also be the dealers sending Akio a message along with a great big middle finger towards his obsession with sports cars or sporty cars instead of giving them things that will sell. RC, LC, GSF and a warmed over RX along the way.

I really like Savagegeese's style. In this case you really get to see the cars in detail. I wish there was a little more footage of the interior though. But yeah he definitely seems to be a fan of the LC platform as a whole. I am honestly surprised at how positive his review of the "h" version is - but I suppose he realizes it has a place in the market - not everyone wants an NA V8.

I like his reviews too.
More and more what I'm thinking about doing is buying my LS460L out of the lease at the end (residual is only $32k), keeping that to use for work and trips, etc...and leasing something fun for the tax deduction, an LC is the sort of vehicle I would seriously consider.

How are they selling? I've seen a few around my area. STUNNING. I might look for a used one several years down the line.
The last one I saw an old lady was driving it. Love it.

Lawd, this dude is wildly BORING. He made me turn the McLaren video off that autoplayed after.
Absolutely LOVE the LC. I don't see many either but I do wonder if the lack of AWD plays a roll in this. I also don't see many SL/S coupes/6 coupes either, so I guess it's doing marginally well. Regardless, I want one and I can't wait to see the LC F.

BTW the new BMW M850i is around the corner.
I built one yesterday and it pretty much comes standard with everything. For about $20k more than LC, you get much more power, tech and AWD. Convertible, GranCoupe and M8 versions are on the way.
LC is definitely not selling well because of various reasons that Lexus refuses to address.

i've not seen one here in podunk florida, or anywhere else, including much more densely populated and wealthy areas.
lol - he takes a bit of getting used to. i think in one of the lc ones he didn't have his sidekick (turbowski ) when they look under the car... they definitely have some funny back and forth about things.

I disagree. As a Lexus salesman I was overjoyed when the LC arrived. Lexus is not known as a performance car, and the LC is definitely a performance car. No amount of marketing is going to substitute for driving the LC. Lexus knew it was going to be a slow process because of its reputation for safe and reliable cars. In my clients households, the wife owns a Lexus and the husband owns a Mercedes (because of reputation, styling, and performance). As the wife brings her car in for service the husband now sees the new LS and LC. These cars now have style, and I dont have twist anyones arm for a test drive. One by one I'm taking Audi, BMW, and Mercedes in on trade.
