I might be wrong, but I think some previous Special Editions of the Miata also had Recaros.

Doesn't matter so long as they're better than the standard seats. Many reviewers lament them for being thin, unsupportive, and wrapped in cheap fabric. The new Recaro's are more supportive, bolster better and now offer a heated option

No doubt they are excellent for those with relatively slim torsos, butts, and legs. But the high, sharp, narrow side bolsters that do so much to hold smaller, thinner people in while canyon-carving are definitely not for people my size.

That's one area on all Miatas, regardless of year, you can tell they were built to a price point. Not to say the stock seats are horrible, but they could be better. Personally on older Miatas I prefer the cloth seats, as they hold you in a bit better around the curves, the leather seats you tend to slide all over the place and if you leave the top down on a sunny day they burn your butt.

I don't know much about miatas, but I know one thing: their soul red paint is insanely shiny.
