I'm not sure anyone wants to spend any amount of time in the back seats of a LC 500, other than a golf bag which will rattle around while the driver shows off the LC's cornering abilities

One area I have to give kudos to Lexus is the trunk space on my IS350 convertible. Absolutely huge with the top up. Wife and easily load up two large luggage bags + extra for our daughter for a weekend at Monterey. We were impressed and that was one of the reasons we were sold on it.
Top down? Well, your lucky to fit four grocery bags across. Lol.

Tank on my SC300 is pretty large as well, 20.6 gallons. I'm thinking the designers compromised the luggage space for the sake of style. Just for comparision, a 2017 Miata has 4.59 cu ft trunk space, the much bigger LC500 has a slightly larger trunk. Of course I know with small trunks, its more about the shape than the number. Trunk in an S2000 Honda sucks, similar size cu ft wise to the Lexus or Miata, but its oddly shaped with the spare tire taking up too much room.

^^ I was about to say, a 22gal fuel tank is only slightly larger than an SC300/400 fuel tank. I don't recall how big the trunk cargo area is in the 92-00 SC's but it's a fair bit larger than 5.4 cubic feet.
Edit: 9.3 cubic feet in the 1992-2000 SC/Soarer: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums...-trunk-volume/
That actually was one of the factors that influenced my buying one-- that I knew I had just enough trunk space to comfortably use for many things. Plus the size of the back seat. The only big rear-drive coupe I found with a bigger back seat was the 2003-2007 Pontiac GTO.
Though I don't think I'd care that much about the trunk size if I were interested in an LC500.
