We have a 16 GS which has been absolutley flawless, the interior is superbly screwed together, and as far as handling, it's significantly better than our 06, and our 10 GS's were. This is the spousal units car, and she's logged 22k miles on it since new. Only issue we had was a recall for the fuel system, which Lexus took care of promptly and with no fuss. Compared to our previous GS's, this one is head and shoulders above the past models - in our opinion. It's a downright pleasure to drive once you get past that snout. For myself, I drive a 17 Porsche Macan, and as far as quality, the exterior panels are superbly fitted, no odd breaks in the body lines, the interior is what dreams are made of, comfort, elegance, fit and finish are what other makes aspire to, and handling, well, it's a Porsche.

For all of you who have been posting about your new (or newer) Lexus products being well-screwed together and/or flawless, generally no arguments from me there. That was not why I opened the thread.....I thought I had made it clear, earlier, that, from what I could tell, Lexus products were not part of the recent slip-ups in Toyota quality control.

in only 22k mi. on a '16 car of any kind, i wouldn't expect problems.

My 2004 Tundra Limited was well put together with nice and thick quality plastics. However, my 2013 Tundra had thinner cheaper plastics especially around the door panel area and around instrument gauge panel and shifter. There were some panels that was a different color when the sun light shined on it. I was scrubbing it at first thinking it was dirty but gave up but later found out the sun rays would change some of my interior panels to a dark orange color. It was a great truck but grew tired of the thin and cheap, color changing plastic interior and hard seats. I eventually got rid of it after three years of ownership. I now have a new Silverado LT which is quieter and more comfortable than my previous Tundra SR5 RW and both were similar trim levels. I also took a look at the new Tundras and although the quality did improved a bit, I still felt it was cheaper than its competitors.

My wife's 2015 Sienna SE has an improved interior materials over previous years. However, there's a panel by the drivers side footwell that keeps coming lose and we bought the car new. I'll push it back in and a few minutes later it'll pop back out. It's a bit annoying but enough for me to take my car in the dealership and have them keep it for a day or more just to fix it. The Sienna's driver side headlights also was filled with condensation the night we brought it home. took pictures of it and brought it to the dealership a few days afterwards. They said they couldn't replace it unless they see it in person even with the photos. It happened twice but haven't returned since. Toyota materials and quality has improved over the years with each new generation but for the most part they still fall behind their competitors in my opinion.

My friend's '18 Camry has been back to the dealer to fix a few rattles.

Another friend's 2017 Tacoma has been in to fix a failed blower motor(which also happened to be under recall) and for the rear differential leak. Overall it seems the 3rd gen Tacoma has received less owner satisfaction than the 2nd gen, but I'd be interested in waiting until the 3rd gen has been out as long as the 2nd gen was.

.
With 35K or so sold every month. I am sure there will be a few that have some rattles. My Corolla was taken back for a rattle under warranty. Nothing on my Matrix. 4Runner had two repairs. Lots of things to keep or adopted LX on the road.

Why do you always mention your "adopted" LX in every post?

What does that even mean?

Haha. It was given to us and ownership transferred to me as a family member needed to move to another part of the world for US military service. So when this individual returns, we are probably going to return it to the individual or we will buy them something comparable. We did not expect them to be gone so long.
