No the GT is not big. The only similarity between the three is the six figure price tag.

S-Coupe 197.9″ 4,707 lbs
SL 182.3″ 3,826 to 3,959 lbs
GT 179″ 3,560 to 3,627 lbs

So is the G90, the V8 upgrade for under 2K with the rear seating extra's is a deal that can not be beat.

Pretty much spot on LOL

I like the G90 a lot, I'm one of its most vocal fans, but it isn't a special car. What makes it attractive is its cheap, if it were $100k like the S Class nobody would ever buy it. The same has always been true of the LS, its a very competent, well built, very refined car, but "Special"? No. Coming from somebody who has had 3 and loved them all.

In fact, dare I say this LS500 is the first LS I've ever seen that IMHO could be classified as "special". Its very asian, very japanese and expressive and its a car that you can connect with on an emotional level if it appeals to you. Thats what makes a car "special" IMHO.

The S Class has a prestige and gravitas about it which is what makes it special. While a G90 would be a very sensible, enjoyable and logical choice for me, it wouldn't check off any boxes on my automotive list, which the S Class would. The S Class has a special prestige that no other car in the segment also possesses IMHO.

saw the LS500 (F Sport) first hand at the LA Auto Show. It is a HUGE car, but it has large overhangs. Although the controversial D pillar wasnt that bad in oerson, it’s still a little awkward. For all the size, it doesnt give off presence like a S class though. There wasn’t much foot traffic around it unlike the LC500 (people were swarming to it even though its released already). I think its going to need a MMC more quickly than not.....

What did you think about the interior and of course, the famous dental work on the front end?

That's what I kept telling Steve, but he thinks 5LS looks great.

Now the interesting thing would be a what if... if the styling of the LS is a little awkward. Is it awkward for North American consumers or is it a car styled for China and Japan? Buick sells more luxury vehicles in China vs what it sells in the US. But the verdict on the LC is "wow". The reaction on the LS is, "we'll see". One can only wonder if a big SUV based on LS's TNGA architecture had been developed first and then the LS 500 had debuted - US buyers would have been all over it.

There are several issues with new LS:
1) Lack of V8
2) Weak styling
3) High Price
4) Competition is too good
5) Lack of Customization

There wasn’t one to sit in unfortunately, only the one on a rotating pedastal. I think there’s two main problems and it sort if all originates back to its styling:

1) it’s a bit too feminine in appearance, comoared to its teutonic competition. Some are ok with this, but it is a turnoff for me as q-ahip of the lexus line

2) it looks too vanilla in the lines with too many aesthetic sacrifices (see d pillar) to compensate for its engineering. When you’ve got a hot LC500 in the showroom right next to it, you wonder why Lexus couldnt do something more since they demonstrated they can turn a concept vehicle to real life production vehicle. Again, its supposed to be your flagship to showcase ur abilities. Jmho

Close. From what I understand, it's Mid-Model-Change (or Mid-Model-Correction). Just semantics, though.....the meaning is the same.
