2018 Ford Mustang Price and Power Changes
The four-cylinder EcoBoost is $610 cheaper than it was in 2017, and $500 more than the discontinued V6 model, with a total of $26,485. V8-powered GT models see significant price increases for the new year, up $1,900 to $35,995. Choosing the convertible body style on the new Mustang costs $5,500 more than a comparable 2018 coupe.
As mentioned yesterday, the extra cost of the 2018 Mustang does net some impressive performance gains. The EcoBoost Mustang's torque figures rise by 30 pound-feet to 350, while the horsepower remains at 310. Both power and torque rise in the Mustang GT. Power is up to 460 horsepower, and torque is up to 420. The former figure is also greater than the Mustang's long-time rival, the Camaro SS.

just went to source link and in video it says it will have an optional all digital 12" gauge cluster. 
perhaps the extra dough for v8 means extra std equipment?

The 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbo engine also gets quicker, hitting 60 m.p.h. in what Ford promises will be less than 5.0 seconds.
the claimed sub-4.0 second time should give the Mustang GT an edge over its archrival, the V8 Chevrolet Camaro SS, which reports 4.0 seconds flat.

video showing cluster. You can now get magnaride which used to be GT350 exclusive if you get the performance package. Price went up a bit on the GT though compared to when I bought mine. The spec I want costs about $48k MSRP when mine was 41.5k. Still a huge value compared to other foreign competitors

Indeed the muscle car wars are alive as ever. We didn't even mention the Hellcat or Demon. These are just regular EcoBoosts, GT's, SS's.. etc..

What do folks think about the 4 cyl.? I've kinda warmed up to the turbo 4's as a general statement (nowadays you can have your max torque as early as 1400 rpm and the curve is flat), but still think this car deserves a V8. I remember reading the review where a tester actually really liked the 4 cyl, but was embarrassed when he got gas and someone asked what it had under the hood...
they have a higher failure rate than the GTs seen several instances of stock EB engines dying. Low Speed Pre Ignition (LSPI) issues which are apparent in turbo charged engines with DI. But in a stang you want a V8, mod ability is much greater

Most will probably be built in low to mid 40's. But this is unmarked territory for anything not a GT350, GT500 etc.. wowza its a new game.
310hp 350lbft eats my 306hp 277lbft :/

That's impressive! I didn't think a 4 banger could do that kind of torque....knew they broke the 300 barrier for HP, but not torque....
