It's more to a sports car than straight line power and the MKV is very impressive on road courses and that came directly from a friend that builds MKIV's Jose Valle of Kaizen Motorsports. The 2020 MKV is not a top end car like the MKIV is, not everyone cares about roll racing to 160 plus. As pointed out the 2021 setup is different with the manifold setup but doubt you even read about that stuff to understand the differences with having a true 6 port exhaust setup off the head because you hate the car. It is what it is sometimes I wonder why you post and follow this thread.
I'm simply asking him how the acceleration from 50 in a stock zupra compares to a stock supra

New Supra is like seeing a Unicorn on the road.
I’m in NYC and have not seen 1 in public.

The ones i saw were all at dealers. They are OK in person.
Park them next to new 911 or even NSX, nobody will care about it.

Ppl take pics for many reasons- doesn’t mean they like the car.

i've seen like 3 driving around out here so far, dealers really don't even bother parking them out front anymore

I’ve only seen one on the road and it was too far to get a good look. I would like to see one to see if I like it in person. Sometimes cars look better in person than in pictures.

I haven't seen one on the road yet but my dealer had a yellow one on their showroom floor and it was absolutely stunning.

2020 Toyota Supra Discounts Doubled In April

Discounts on Toyota's most expensive car have doubled in April. According to dealer incentive bulletins in a dozen regions, the Toyota Supra now features a hidden dealer cash incentive worth $2,000. In addition, Toyota has introduced the car's first-ever financing and lease deals.

Here's what you need to know.

In most parts of the country, dealers are now being given a $2,000 incentive to help lower prices for the 2020 Supra ahead of a major refresh for 2021. Offers on the 2-door coupe first emerged a month ago with a smaller $1,000 incentive. Now, we're also seeing offers in some states for financing and leasing.

For example, those in the Southeast will find 2.9% APR for 60 months plus a 72-month option at 3.49%. Both qualify for no payments for 90 days as part of the automaker's incentive to help consumers amidst COVID-19. Based on our analysis, this can equate to substantial savings when it comes to interest.

On a $50,000 car, a 5-year loan at 5% would cost $6,614 in interest at $944/month before taxes & fees. The latest offer cuts the interest cost to $3,773 at $896/month. It may not be as dramatic as 0% APR for 84 months from Ford, but Toyota has taken a conservative approach to COVID-19 offers.

Supra leases are a mixed bag.

In the Southeast, the 3-liter Premium trim is listed at $579 for 36 months with $3,878 at signing, an effective cost of $687/month. That's based on an MSRP of $53,990, which unfortunately doesn't include a $955 destination charge. The offer comes with an allowance of 12,000 miles per year.

In New York, the automaker is advertising a $609/month lease with $4,999 at signing. That comes out to $748/month, $61 more than the deal in places like Florida. However, a closer look reveals some quirks like a higher MSRP of $56,140 and a shorter allowance of just 10,000 miles per year.

Curiously, Toyota doesn't offer any transparency online as far as what consumers will get for over $56,000.

All Supras come with the same engine, but our analysis finds that the configuration in question is most likely the Premium with optional Driver Assist Package. Unlike other Toyotas, Supra buyers have to pay extra for features like adaptive cruise control and a blind spot monitor since the car was developed with BMW.

Having said all that, shoppers will have to contend with rapidly-changing restrictions as far as social distancing and even determining whether dealers are open or closed amid COVID-19. Fortunately, some offer online buying options and home delivery. Be sure to check with local dealers to explore your options.

Current offers end May 4.
Dealers have more money to play with. They should stop playing games if there are any with ADM.

I can still see there are guys still in denial over the car since they keep on talking about it even when they supposedly have no interest!

Your Supra looks really good! The only Supra I’ve seen in person was red like yours and I think the red is awesome!

You really have no clue on either the MKIV or the MKV, do you? I've owned both: 93 and 97 TT 6-speeds, BPUd. While it was no slouch, I only ran a best of 11.9 in it, and blew a set of turbos on the 93 as well. The sequential setup was great for off the line acceleration, but hindered the top end. Lots of folks converted to a parallel setup to mitigate that.

Try harder.... And I'll keep posting more pics for you in the interim

Nice, I heard lots of good things about the r888r's, but I went with the nt05rs due to how cheap they can be had in 315/35/17 size ($150!!!). They're great for the street when at regular psi (I've done mountain runs with them and didn't have any oh **** moments), however when aired down, can wander a bit. Power-wise I'm at 500whp and as long as you heat them up, they grab pretty good. Digs is still a no-no on the street but at the track, it'll hook (provided ur air down and did a good burnout)....got any pics of ur mkiv?

Funny thing coming from a FRZ86 owner lol....

Where are you in NY? Have several shops that would be happy to take you out in their Zupra and show you the typical owner experience.

For most Zupra guys, it's their 3rd or 4th car and they'll take it out maybe once a week. I kinda like it rare, so keep on hating and tell ur friends too!

I bet it’s a blast to drive. Especially with how little traffic there is right now.

I'm a bit modified: 500whp, w/ 200lbs shaved off roughly....so the car is a hoot to drive! With the deserted highways of Mexico, I've been able to get some impromptu timed runs in as well (though I need to work on braekboosting it!).

what are you going on about? i'm simply asking how the acceleration from 50 or so in a stock supra compares to a stock zupra

those are nice numbers on the draggy btw... your 60-130 is about 2 seconds quicker than mine (totally stock), i'll have to pick on a car less tuned than yours lol

Once it gets warmer and things get better with the covid stuff I will take it out, curious how they will do when properly heated up. I don't do digs period even with launch control and traction control 1st and most of 2nd is pretty useless unless I turn down to low boost which is still around 550 at the wheels. I plan to get a dragy also. Below is shot of my MKIV next to a Ren Red MKV at a local event last year and below that is a recent shot.
