Default 2nd Gen IS "F sport" confusion. Anyone?

(this question surrounds only 2007-2013 IS cars)

Ok, I started seeing 2nd gen IS's on the interwebs (and one in person) with the "F" badge, but they're not F cars. I thought these were just badge guys; guys that threw on maybe some F sport springs, and tossed on a set of badges for ****s & giggles. But then I started seeing them all over the internet. I'm guessing these are real cars? Not sure they are though because the option doesn't exist for online car sales websites.
Here's my question: Are there non ISF cars out there that came with some sort of "half" an F sport package from the factory? They look just like any other IS with the same emblems on the rear, no front air dam/wheel widening thingy, but they have the F emblems on each front quarter panel.
What are these cars? I seem them everywhere on the internet so I'm guessing they can't all be user modified "F" sports.

I am pretty sure you are talking about F-Sport versions?

Yea that looks like it but, now how does that differentiate from the "sport package"? Is it the same? I'm not sure because when I hit sport package on the used car websites, none of them have an F on the side so, I'm guessing they're different. Though why doesn't anyone recognize the F sport add on packages?

The sport package only came out in 06-08 I believe, basically it was different spring rates and inside was metallic trim instead of wood....then Lexus introduced the f-sport line and years later f-sports package cars started coming out from factory. At the beginning it was just f-sports parts, like wheels, intake and exhaust.

Perhaps this Lexus video will help with understanding the differences between the base IS350, the IS350 F-Sport Factory Package and the IS350 equipped with the F-Sport Accessories Package:

2nd Gen IS, after the mid-cycle refresh, had F-Sport accessories/options.

But this is probably a better topic in the 2nd Gen IS forum.
