Default Curve ball here...

I signed up here to get information about an engine swap I'm considering. I'm looking for over 200hp, v6 and an automatic trans, so my research for a vehicle to source my drivetrain from has led me to the 2006 GS300.

My question is, how do you make a 3GR-FSE run outside of a GS300 shell? My plan is to buy a complete, maybe wrecked, but running GS300, so I should have everything necessary to make this happen. Stand alone engine/trans controller? Stock CPU with programming mods? What about wiring?

I have no performance mods planned for the engine since my project vehicle only weighs 2,500 lbs, the stock output should be plenty as my project will just be a weekend cruiser or possibly a daily driver.

I have also considered an IS250, IS350 or GS350 as they all seem to be equally suitable for my project, but the GS300 seems like the most affordable and "well balanced" engine for my purposes.

I know this can be done with an LS swap, but I'm trying not to take the "easy" way out and I really like what I'm seeing with Lexus drive trains.

Your feedback is really appreciated.

For those who are curious, I'll be putting whatever drive train I choose into a 1967 AMC Rambler American.

Not my rambler, but an example of what my project is for those who aren't familiar.
