No. I have to disagree. The Volt is not an EV...it has a small gas engine, and, technically, is a hybrid. A true EV, such as the Nissan Leaf, a Tesla product, or Chevrolet Bolt (notice......Bolt instead of Volt), lacks a gas engine, and runs 100% of the time on a battery and electric motor. Extended-range, plug-in hybrids like the Volt, Ford Energi models, and some versions of the Prius are not true EVs, even though they can be run on the electrics alone for sizable distances.
