Default Lexus Battery Warranty Transferable?

Hey All, I just picked up a 2010 GX460. The battery was weak, and then died. I pulled it out to replace and saw it was a "Lexus 84-Month" warranty battery that has a September 2014 sticker on it. (I've read a little bit about the Lexus batteries and how they're a "joke" and I'm not trying to say how the quality of it is.)

Does anyone know if the warranty (84 month stuff) even if prorated is transferable to the new owner if I bought it used?

Thanks in advance!

A battery that lasts 7 years is pretty impressive especially in PA. I bought a new 2007 IS350 & that battery lasted 7 years here in SoCA. If you can get prorated credit for your battery towards a new Lexus battery, I would be surprised if you don't have to pay alot more for it than the best battery available from regular parts stores.
