Lucid Air
Still haven't seen one in the wild. I've seen everything from Porsche Taycan to Rivian R1T and R1S. I've been to multiple Superchargers from NorCal to SoCal...still waiting to see one other than in a mall
Still haven’t spotted R1S, but seen a dozen or so Taycans on the local freeways, and even the original Tesla roadster twice. Have not spotted a Lucid Air yet.
I've seen one R1S...so it's not vaporware! It's a really nice looking SUV with 3 rows...actual usable rows! They are even saying it will be delivered by end of 2023. When I eventually replace my Sienna, it's between the Polestar 3 or R1S
Sorry, but the Air does not do it for me. Each to their own, I guess.
The was a nice white Rivian at Costco today. I see one about once a week.
I think I already posted this pic, but here goes anyway...

In any event, I think Lucid and Rivian will be purchased by some other company before going bankrupt. They both have excellent engineering behind them.
That would be a shame. From what I’ve gathered from articles and owners, Rivian has a quality product. I sure hope their stock doesn’t go to zero but anything is possible. Rivian doesn’t have as charismatic of a CEO as Tesla. JR Scaringe is basically trying to follow I’m Elon’s footsteps but lacks the vision of Elon or a Steve Jobs, then again very few are visionaries of our generation. I think Rivian has strong financial backing and isn’t encumbered by having to lead. They can save a lot of money by learning from Tesla and still have a good chance to succeed. Let’s revisit this in a year.
Lemme try again...

my neighbor turns out to be a dealer for the lucid air since i've seen 2 cars of different colors frequent my street with dealer plates.
it's definitely subtle and understated. i pointed it out to my wife and she just said "that's a new car"?
