Disabling my ignition
I want to keep my son from driving my car at night. He has a key. How can I disable the ignition so that it won't crank at all when he pushes the starter button?

If that's your big problem, and that's how you're dealing with it, your family life is going to be a source of misery.
How about "If you drive the car when I said not to, you will never drive the car again", but only if you can do it.
The worst possible warning to a child: tell them what you will do, and not do it. Now, any threat is meaningless.
You're lucky, it's only a car. How about a few that friends of mine had already: "where's my purse?", and of course at the top of the list "where's my gun?".
Then report the car stolen the minute he leaves.
How to tell?
Beep the alarm, if you can't hear it he's down the road.

Agree with the above. As an IT manager, I often have to tell other business managers that "If you have to use a technology solution to solve a management problem, you've already lost." This situation is the same.
