Default is 250 cold start problems

I have a 2009 lexus is 250 AWD. When it is cold outside (belowe 10 degrees) it will start and then die out after a few seconds. After about the third try it stays running. I had it to Toyota but they could not find the problem. Anyone had this problem and were able to fix it?

Could be one of several different things, but likely a weak or failing coolant-temperature sensor that does not send the proper signal to the engine's computer when cold, causing an overly-lean condition with the air/fuel injection on start-up. Or a dirty fuel system or injectors themselves that get plugged up and don't deliver enough fuel to the engine. That can come from using cheap, cut-rate brands of gas that don't have enough detergent-additives in them to keep the injectors clean...a practice I have long-discouraged. The IS250's V6 is known to suffer from deposit build-ups and need a lot of fuel-system cleaning.
