I'm planning on upping my game as to a new radar detector and have seen some nice kits that allow them to be secured to the rear view mirror and wired directly into the electrical system. As I'm many thing, just not an electrical engineer by any stretch, I'm wondering how easy this is. My brother says very, by simply snapping off the cover behind the mirror that contains the electrical bundle for the mirror, and connecting the wiring harness there. Anyone with experience in doing this? I can't find a good tutorial on youtube.
