But I still want Top Gear to fail without him just like 2 and a half men failed without Charlie..
I don't understand this logic. Clarkson, Hammond, and May's new show is going to launch soon. If Top Gear is good too then we will all have 2 solid car shows to watch rather than 1. I'm all for that.

Top Gear was synonymous with the previous trio. Had BBC come out with a new show with a new name without reminders of times past we'd be in a better situation.

Agreed 100%. All the BBC is doing at this point is tarnishing the brand.
I'm losing hope, but I still want this show to have a good run - we don't need another canceled auto show.
just kill the name and do another show. it's going to be really hard for them to maintain this name
Agreed, if they try to recreate that format they had with Clarkson, May, Hammond, and the Stig. Which is what they've tried with Chris Evans as "Clarkson" but have failed.
Personally I think they need to do away with the Stig, and hire a retired professional race car driver. Somebody who can do reviews, comment in the show, and do those power laps. Personally I haven't watched the new show, but I think that the Queen of Nurburgring, Sabine Schmitz, is a great personality who I really enjoyed watching on the old Top Gear humiliate Clarkson. She might be a good fill in for the Stig, she is an awesome driver and IMO a great commentator/personality.
