2017 Porsche Panamera
I'm talking about in terms of the driving experience. The S-class seats will be more plush, you'll be more isolated from the road, handling/agility will be of higher priority in a properly optioned Panamera, etc.
I guess , that's why I want a good comparison of the two done, as I am sure that anyone looking at a S63 would also be interested in the Panamera.
I am not a fan of the S-Class leather, the Lexus LX beats the S-Class there in my eyes, so I am on the side that the Panamera could be better as well.. Although you are probably right with the sound isolation, but again I am not sure it will that big of a difference.

Also, at least in the U.S. market, there's not much crossover between the Panamera and S-class according to MBUSA.The current Panamera's firmer and more bolstered adaptive sport seats, lower seat hip point, stiffer default suspension settings, and far greater emphasis on agility are all things that will almost certainly carry over to the new Panamera in comparison to the S63.
Put it this way- the Panamera is designed to be a Porsche. The S63 is the AMG version of the long wheelbase S-class. Many people buy them just because it's the most expensive readily available variant of the S-class.
Comparo tests are good too though lol.

Lexus has softer leather, and usually German cars have 'tougher' leather. I personally prefer German ones as they are more durable.
But there are also big difference between package levels, for example, it's night/day difference between BMW standard leather, Nappa, Merino/Individual.
But to my surprise, I thought Dave600HL S63 has Designo leather, isn't that one of the best? I sat in one and the feel is incredible.

That's why I'm so surprised. The S Class even the base leather isn't the tough stuff you see in the lower cars, or like a Dakota leather. IMHO the base leather on the S class is comparable to the top Lexus leather.
I like the softer leather and I was talking about the S-Class non AMG, its leather is just too hard for my liking. I can't comment on the other classes , but if you say they are tougher, then I definitely won't like them. I don't know, maybe it is the stiffness of the foam, but I definitely like the LX better when just running your hand over the seat, it just feels better to me.
