Finally a move in the right direction! With the popularity of H2s and Excursions with their 7 and 8 liter motors and sub-10mpg efficiency, this is great news! I just hope they make it stylish enough for people to buy. I know the 55mpg will attract many buyers. Hell I would definitely drive one as a secondary commuter car!

What about this RX330 with the "Hybrid Synergy Drive" that promises four cylinder fuel economy with V8 acceleration? I'd buy a GS with that engine if Lexus produces a hybrid that goes 0-60 in sub 6 seconds like is rumored.

When and which vehicles will they put this Synergy drive in I AM SERIOUSLY THINKING OF A PRIUS inplace of my LS400 Rear Wheel Drive don't cut it in the winter where I work and this coming winter I defineately have no RX300 to steel my son needs it full time now!
