Default You know your a car nut when.....

Lets get this going and see who's got it bad, i think I'm one of the worst!!

I'll start:

1. You can name every make and model that passes you at 5-6yrs old!

2. At 5-6yrs old, your dad makes you sit by the window and.......name every make and model that passes by!!!

3. You can remember how much horsepower a 1989 Honda Prelude Si had (135), FROM READING NEW CAR BROCHURES IN 1989!!

4. You and your brother can talk about cars every day for 1-2 hrs a day.

5. You knew every Rim size make and model, at 15, and YOU DIDNT HAVE A CAR!!

6. You drive in the rain, just because you miss driving your car.

7. You can identify a car in your rear view or in front of you at night on the highway JUST BY THE HEAD OR TAILIGHT PATTERN!!

8. you can modify a car using the vision in your head like photoshop!! (rims, drop, tint, HID, etc)

9. You know more about the details and tuning of your friends' cars than they do!!

I GOTTA be the man, YOU GUYS CANT MESS WITH ME!!!

Including your list which I follow very closely; DGOT20s
I bought the Supra Store carbon fiber toilet.
I have every model car concievable.
I carry a camera with me in the car.
I hang out at the local dyno shop everyday.
I identify cars by what their gauges look like.I raced gokarts from the age of 5, now I do vintage formula fords.
I haven't missed a NYIAS since I was 5.
I know the name and address of the man and woman who made my Supra.
I celebrate the cars birthday.
I kick garbage away from other peoples nice cars (like when som ******* puts a glass bottle under your new 20's)
Best of all I have drawn sketches of cars for the police department.( too hard for a youngin like me )
I'm a design student.
I know most of the premie dealers in NYC by a first name basis.
I am not impressed when I see $100,000 cars driving by.
I spot poseurs (ex. Mercedes s430 badged as an s55 amg)
Alright, well can't type anymore man. One more thing, in my parents 5 car garage we had to make room for another car. New car? No, my trophies were piling up inside the house and I was tired of getting screamed at.

Yeah you mean pay for them by being a nun for 17 years? Harder than working the 9-5 for a year.

at 6 month old when parents teach their kids to speak by saying:
"(ex: Eugene) say Mommy !!! Eugene say Daddy!!! "

well here is what my dad said:
"Eugene say "an outside rear-view mirror" "
in russian it sounded much longer and funnier.

now i know why i turned out like that.

Damn, I thought I was bad!! I think I'ma have to dig into my reserves for you guys though:

1. At 10-11 yrs old, my buddy and I used to go to the dealerships on Kings Highway in Bklyn EVERY SATURDAY, and ask the salesman questions like "whats the Cd of this car?", and when they would say in-dash or changer, we would say "no, I was asking, what is the coefficient of drag!!"

2. At that same age, I would routinely call the support lines of all car manufacturers, disguise my voice as a older gentleman, and request brochures!! M/B, BMW, etc!

3. I could drive-REALLY DRIVE-at 11yrs old! Advantage of being tall. I got most of my experience on a 1995 BMW 525i, now thats a learner car.

4. Last but not least, I am a 24 yr old manager for a Fortune 500 company, and I have responsibility for individuals that are 2.5times my age, yet I DAYDREAM about cars 100% of the time!! The car I have now, what size rims I'll put on my next car, etc. ITS A SICKNESS, glad I'm not the only one who caught the bug.

Default Hmmm

I was 2 in 1989....I couldn't read yet....And those seem like ways to tell if you've ALWAYS been a car nut. ---I wasn't allowed to be into cars until I moved away from my dad. He made me do ballet and "girly" things. But I can definitely tell a car by it's lights- Have mental photoshop- And know more about my friend's cars then they do. ..Also I deal with a class of 38 stupid/horny h/s boys to work on cars. It's tuff bein a teenage girl and into cars lol

Well I haven't ALWAYS been into cars. I guess as I became more fortunate to be able to afford some of the nicer vehicles, my interest has grown into a passion.

Although I am a huge lexus fan, dare I say *gulp* that the MB and BMW brands lately have some incredible looking models. Screw it if they break down..that's what repair shops are for....i love my 2003 745. Turns heads like a mother.

Some day..hopefully soon..i would not mind owning a SL55 either....
