Signed up with a friend and drove to the Lexus meet at Lexus of Escondido. Did not know what to expect but only one GS350 was there. The rest of the cars were customized IS(Fs too) and a few older Lexus. The good news, my friend is going to get a NX300H for his wife. Below are some pictures I took:

I went to one of these events called "Taste of Lexus" in Austin, TX like 8 years ago, where you could test drive the latest Lexus vehicles on a small course that they setup in an large empty parking lot. I went with 3 other friends who all signed up as well and we had an amazing time.

It would be awesome if people here could share such events in the GS forum! I never know when these meets happen. I know there is a "Local Chapters and Regional Forums" section of CL, but I never read about such events being posted (in Texas anyway).

Did they allow you to test drive the GS-F? And what were some the raffle prizes? Wish I hadn't made plans that same day..

 

Nice! I spot Frank's USB ISF and thats a slammed ct200h!

Gave rides in the GS-F but had test drives down stairs in lot. Raffle prizes included T-shirts, gift cards to Lantana restaurant and $50 Dollars gift cards in parts and accessories. One of the attendees from LA mentioned that Lexus events in Los Angeles were much better with awesome prizes and free gift bags. Since the Escondido event was its second, the event organizer said its only going to get better and bigger plus more often.

 

I'll try to make the next one. Here's the Westminster Lexus meet for comparison.

 

Ah the best meet of the year.. Can't wait for this years! I'm guessing free Habit food truck again!
