Always love Crown series cars, I think it would be a good model slotted between Is and GS for Lexus in the US. But Toyota never bring it to our market :/
Anyway, this is the only model I don't like among them, the grill is beyond ugly, spindal all of sudden looks conservative now!

Crown is one of the oldest Toyota models, it will never be sold outside Japan and some Asian countries. Pretty long in the tooth these days, I think it might end up being one of the first models on new RWD TNGA-platform.

Nice overall, but the grill is horrible and I don't want to hear commands in Japanese.

This car breaks so many fundamental car design dos/don'ts.

I would kill for a Crown Athlete from a few years ago. It's my favorite sedan and one of my favorite cars of all time.

I want one like the two in this video:

Is the grill supposed to be the shape of a crown? Because that would be the only logical explanation for that thing. Looks like a nice car but styling a bit bizarre on the front end.

Yes, it is Crown of course... car is called Crown.

Styling is a hit in Japan, very successful vehicle. Crown series outsells complete Lexus lineup in Japan.

i see more than just a passing resemblance to the Lexus LS460. Do the Crown and LS share the same platform and body?

The grill looks like it belongs on a new Nissan.

Always liked the Crown. Similar to the Mark X, another cool Toyota we don't get in the US.

Yes, it uses Toyota S-Series platform. Off the top of my head, only GS/Aristo and Crown have used this chassis.
