I had a car that would exact its own punishment on tourists who couldn't keep their grubby hands off . . .
My old Opel Rallye had an OEM flat-black hood that showed fingerprints badly. Not only were the prints painfully obvious, but they were difficult to remove without polishing the flat surface. After a careful detail, I learned to park it in the sun . . . at least I'd get some retribution for all those people who seemed to think they just had to put their hands on my car. After an hour or two in the hot sun, that flat black finish could fry your fingers so badly you could almost hear the sizzle. I learned to pop the hood and reach underneath to lift it with a shop towel.
Oh ya, do not touch my car/lean on it/step on it, I would be so mad and furious!!!
My wife and my kids learnt they can't even get close to have a chance to touch the paint and risking a scratch. I have one friend who always lean on cars he's close to but would never do it on my car cuz he knows I don't like it at all.
During a previous service visit at my Lexus dealer, I had my 3 year old daughter with me. We walked into the showroom to look at the cars while we waited. I walked up to an RC and she said "now daddy, we look, but we don't touch." Proud daddy moment.
I'm also a "don't touch it" type of person. I cringed when I was dropping my buddy at the airport and he closed the trunk on my IS by placing his hand on the trunk lid. I always use the handle underneath the trunk with one hand and place the other hand on the license plate when closing it. When I close my door I only touch the door handle.
^ I think that's being a little OCD there. Although one of my pet peeves when I had my old Camaro with frameless door glass, is that you never touched the glass when you closed the door. Drove me nuts when people would do that, it put all kinds of stress on the glass/door parts and then you left fingerprints on the glass.

Wayback when I was an electrician I had a Camaro. I looked out of the window of a house that I was wiring and saw a contractor leaning on the rear with his foot up on the painted bumper.
I confronted him aggressively and he seemed confused as to why this was a problem. I was informed later by someone behind him that he pulled a knife out of his back pocket.
touch it all you want, doesn't really bother me. it's silver, fingerprints and such don't really show up on it. if it can be washed off, then yeah whatever rub your hands all over it. i generally feel undeserving of my car lol so i try to let anyone who wants to drive it (with me in the car obviously), and if its a bit dirtier i don't feel as guilty about getting such a good car.
my cardinal rule is for the car to have been driving for at least 15 minutes before you can give it good throttle. people never expect the car to be as fast as it is so i wanna give them the chance to open it up a bit, but only when the oil is nice and warm.
