Default Concorso D’Eleganza Villa d’Este: Lexus LF-LC Concept

The Lexus LF-Lc Concept has been officially presented in Italy over the weekend, during the 2012 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.

After making its world debut at the 2012 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, the Lexus LF-Lc has been placed into the spotlights one more time, this time with the car manufacturer bringing it to the 2012 Concorso D’Eleganza Villa d’Este over the weekend, where the vehicle has been well received by the audience and by the automotive journalists. The Lexus LF-Lc Concept has a good chance of hitting the production line in the nearby future, and if this happens, the model’s final price will stand between 100,000 and 130,000 euros.

The stunning Lexus LF-Lc Concept is coming as a 2+2 sport coupe, with a new grille, vertical fog lamps, quad exhaust, afterburner taillights, a glass roof and a dynamic body. The Japanese vehicle’s cabin has been fitted with two 12.3-inch LCD screens, a remote touch-screen control board for the audio system, climate control, navigation system, pop-up touch screen keyboard for complex entries and touch screen controllers. The model is also coming with air conditioning, mirrors, seats and windows commanded by the infotainment touch screen display integrated into the doors. You can watch the Lexus LF-Lc Concept at the Concorso D’Eleganza Villa d’Este below. Enjoy!

Default Lexus LF-LC to showcase at the 2012 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este

There are a couple of events around the world that every car aficionado should not miss and the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is definitely one of them. It may not have yet reached the fame of Goodwood Festival of Speed among the general audience, but for true automotive design fans, Villa d’Este is a must.

Every year, the splendid renaissance villa plays host to a gathering of pristinely conditioned classic cars. It also serves as the stage of a design competition where an internationally renowned award is awarded for the best concept cars and prototypes.

More recently, Concours d’Elegance such as the one taking place at Villa d’Este have also become increasingly used for marketing activities by automotive manufacturers. Along with the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California, the Villa d’Este event has also become the place of choice for exclusive model debuts by high-end manufacturers.

Lexus LF-LC

Pebble Beach has recently seen the world premier of several luxury Bentleys but also our very own Lexus GS at last year’s event. Not to mention that back in 2009, Aston Martin chose to reveal the most expensive and one of the most unique cars in the company’s history, the Aston Martin One-77, during the Villa d’Este event.

Among such iconic company, we can happily reveal that – for the first time to my knowledge – a Lexus concept has been selected to participate in the exclusive Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este event. The LF-LC, which we revealed at the Detroit Motor Show, will be lined up along side such exceptional company as the truly unique Talbot-Lago Teardrop Coupe with coachwork by the once famous Figoni & Falaschi.

For the first time, our California-based Calty Design Research design centre will be counted among the legends in the automotive design hall of fame. And what a way to do justice to the fantastic work done by Ben and Edward on the LF-LC!

"the model’s final price will stand between 100,000 and 130,000 euros."

This is awesome price range, high enough to be cool, but still low enough to be obtainable.

I was about to say that too! At closer look the front seems to be simply a storage compartment! And yet somehow the car was driven to the scene!! Is the engine in the rear?

i don't know, that looks like some clothes, books, backpacks. somewhat looks to me that's not engine bay, at least not like a full scale gasoline engine

Yeah but the car was driven to the scene.. The only possible explanation, if there's no engine in the rear either, is that the car has a very small electric motor just to be driven over very short distances at low speeds. Surely people who were actually there could hear what engine/motor it was and where it was located. Wish one of them could share on CL what they heard.
