Very well laid out interior, some great lines there and probably the best center stack on the market. Integrated vents are true gem, you don't even know they are there unlike on S-class coupe where they are center of attention of whole interior design. In my opinion vents should be concealed whenever possible.
I absolutely love asymmetrical cabin, takes guts to pull off something like that.
On the other hand these pictured seats are junk looking, no multi-pattern surfaces that intersect, no dedicated cushion pattern really makes it retro looking
In terms of Length - its about the same as Sclass coupe.
Height, interior space - i agree that the Sclass is much bigger and roomier inside.
The interior quality is definitely below the Sclass but the LC should be a better handler and more agile.
I agree with you that its closest competitor is the 6 series coupe - in terms of overall proportions.
LC is 187" whereas the S550 coupe is 198", you call that the same?!
Again wheelbase is much more significant measurement, and difference there is minor - less than 3in.
The front/rear overhangs of the Lexus are smaller, this gives the LC500 a sportier and more dynamic look.
Sclass coupe is larger but if you put them side by side, they clearly are direct competitors.
Unlike if you put a 911 or NSX next to these cars.
The 2017 Lexus LC500 is supposed to be the new flagship that will lead Lexus into and through a reinvention. And there it is, in Eastern Market, maybe 500 feet from our offices in Detroit, driving around way before we're supposed to see it. Have a look. Sharp, yeah?
10" difference is not significant especially considering the wheelbase is almost identical: LC500=113 vs S550=115.9 in
In all other dimensions they are 5 inches of each other.

you are kidding yourself if you say 10" is not significant. take a look at the different classes of cars, 10" can be a different class already. IS to GS is less than 9" difference. GS to LS is 8" difference.
like i said, i was the one who had the two freaking cars sitting side by side right in front of me and i was the one who sat inside of them left and right. it's plain silly to try argue they are the same size.
and 3" difference in wheel base is close?
is350 wheel base 110"
gs350 wheel base 112"
ls460 swb wheel base 117"
ls460 lwb wheel base 122"
s550 wheel base 116"
lc500 wheel base 113"
you are not going to win this argument no matter how you spin it
Looks a lot better in that white. The dark wheels do it favors as well. The black car looked like a boring package. The seats material made it look dull. Leather with that sheen to it would make it pop. Same with the door.

The S-class is also wider, and heaver with the V-12 option. It's also much more expensive compared to what we believe the LC is going to sticker. I am not convinced that the S class is the true competitor, it's looking like the 6 series is the closest competitor.
