I just hope they don't make the M2 in limited numbers like the 1M. But for $50k, I definitely like to get my hands on one with a manual transmission.

Would love to see the 1M, M2, and a E46 M3 go at it for the title of 'Ultimate driving machine'

And people can get M3/4 a little less than invoice while we can only get M2 at MSRP right now. M4 is also roomier. I don't see a reason to get M2 if weight difference is that small.

A better choice would be to wait for Turbo 4 718 Cayman. It would be a blast to drive at 2900lb (probably lighter for the new turbo model?). 718 Cayman will be priced very similar to M2, so why not midship engine sportscar?

Because M4 is bloated and soft. M2 is just awesome.

M3/4 bloated? its nearly the same weight as an M2 when the M2 is over 8" shorter. Sounds like the M2 is the bloated one

Size wise M3 and M4 are most certainly bloated, and softly styled. They may be using more aluminum and other exotic materials to bring the weight down, but weight is not end all.

M3/4 should have better CoG due to being wider and bigger.

Yeah, and M6 is even wider and bigger than M4, but it doesn't mean that its more fun.

M2 isn't going to set any performance records, but its going to be a total blast to drive.

But M4 weights fricking 25lb more, not 800lb more.

Really?
M3 is softly styled now LOL
Weight is not everything?
M3/4 use more Carbon Fiber and Aluminum parts than all of their direct competitors hence why they weigh much less and are more agile on the track.
Please study up before you post!
