Default my convertible bmw

So I am out shopping for a convertible and finally ended up with two choices.

White Exterior - Black top, natural brown leather seats & trim, black seat belts, black dash/console, HID lights, no heated seats
Red Exterior - Black top, tan leather seats & trim, tan seat belts, tan dash/console, No HID lights, heated seats

Both have the same mileage on them, and priced very close.

Which one do you think I should go with?

First, you didn't say what specific convertibles these were. But, all other things equal, I'd take the one with heated seats and no HIDs.....for three reasons. First, I personally think HIDs are somewhat overrated compared to halogens. Second, the heated seats will help let you enjoy driving with the top down in cooler weather. Third, the red exterior and tan seats is a nicer color combination, IMO, than white/tan.

Texas? go with white!!

For a vert, don't even think about black on black.

You'll thank me later.

Neither of those two choices are black on black. It's red/tan vs. white/tan....both with a black top.

I will, if I go with the white.

It is White/Natural brown vs Red/Tan. Pretty good difference in person to the naked eye

In the Poll, I put the third option for black/black.

For me, I tend to prefer white on black. It would help to know the make/models you are considering though. That would impact my choice.

For example, in a Miata, I would go with the red, as I don't think they look that great in white, but an S2000 or 3 series look great in white.

I really wanted to keep the make model agnostic, but you have a point. Here are the two cars - 3 series E46

I'd pick red with heated seats. HIDs are easy to install with an aftermarket kit and heated seats will come in handy when weather gets cooler~

Thanks for sharing the model.

In this case, I'd probably go white, though I really think either is a great choice. FWIW, I have had after market heated seats added before, and they were fantastic and affordable. Something to consider, as I would not be without heated seats.

Another point I am considering - I am not exactly a teenager - Keeping that in mind and knowing I will be daily driving the car for the next 5 years or so, would I be able to pull off or live with a strong color such as Red?

I didn't even know the car and I picked White/Tan. With few exceptions, I think red screams "look at me" and since I also live in TX I would never go with Black/Black in a convertible. I had a Silver/Black S5 Cabriolet and that was hot enough.

Imola red without a doubt. The 3 series is a sports car, it deserves a proper color IMO.

Also, this being personal preference, but I wouldn't buy an automatic 3 series of that generation. Much more fun and engaging care with the manual.
