NX I believe only measures area below the semi-hard tonneau cover that it has.

Quick article on variations in methodology.

yep, i am pretty sure thats it... they are not consistent with it though, so different models are differently measured.

I know that in LC200 V8 i drove, it felt that cargo space was huge with 3rd row removed, it felt like i could park a Yaris in the back.

I think it looks pretty good in White...a lot better than it does in that silver color in all the press shots. Also, the 20 inch wheels look better than the 21s in my opinion. I was kind of swaying towards Yukon/Escalade for my purchase next year...not sure now after seeing that video.

Looks good! Still prefer the current spindle grill, but that interior?! Beautiful!

I don't think it does... I guess they were trying to show how multi terrain monitor allows to spot obstacles that otherwise would be difficult to see plus tells you where your wheels will actually go (yellow lines).

Not a chance at 20. Only the city MPG will improve which is currently at 12 MPG.

not even with a 20 speed tranny.

has a cd of .35 (almost brick-like by today's standards) and is 6000lbs (that's suburban territory - edit: a suburban's actually 300+lbs lighter ).

I guess a giant brick weighing 6000 lbs isn't going to be that good going down the road.. I'll have to down-grade to a GX or a 4Runner then..

With all that technology, only 1 mpg improvement and they can't even break 15 mpg combined.. Thats just sad..

Not sure what you mean by technology, assuming you mean the addition of blind spot, etc. But the powertrain actually lacks a lot of "technology."

The LX/Land Cruiser still lacks the Direct/Port D4S injection system, Toyota doesn't utilize anything like cylinder deactivation, no active aero measures (grill shutters, etc).

Toyota also generally uses shorter axle ratios, which are good at putting power to the ground, but generally not good for fuel economy.

Technology can only do so much to fight physics.

if you're paying 100 large for a huge suv, fuel economy shouldn't be a concern.
