2016 Lexus LX
I wonder why so many vehicles use 20-MPH increments (0, 20, 40, 60, etc.....) on the speedometer when it is usually a lot easier to instantly read in 10 MPH increments (10, 20, 30, 40, etc...). When I learned to drive, all cars had 10-MPH increments. Then many of them shifted to 20 for some odd reason....maybe because of the high top speeds many of even today's family cars are capable of.

member of my family has a 2015 MB C class, and I drive a 2009 previous gen. The new one has 10 mph increments and every time I look down to check the speed, it takes me an extra few milliseconds to comprehend since everything is so squished together. I prefer 20mph increments personally
edit: i just saw the gs facelift pictures and almost died. oh my god.

Bold wheel design (unbold offset), bold front end/rear end design. They couldn't do much to save the side profile but thats just nitpicking.
Great design, should see a nice sales bump. The previous iteration couldn't compete with the bold designs from the GL and Range Rover, Escalade and X5, now its a real competition.

This needed a much bigger redesign though, both inside and out. They did a great job... with more features standard though, no lower cost model expected.
Looks great. About as modern as one can make an older body look. Big grilles belong on big trucks. Rear lights are very slick and clean. And the dash and center stack are a model of symmetry. Wish other brands (Audi, MBZ) would integrate their nav screens the same way Lexus does.
About the upside-down numbers following the edge of the gauges... I'm surprised no one has mentioned this was at one time a Lexus trademark. Both the first and second gen IS had this feature. Then it was dropped alltogether only to sprout back on the LX, of all vehicles. Quite surprising, but I like it. You definitely get used to it and it's easy to read eventually.
I agree about the lack of 10 mph increments. Those would really be appreciated as well as finally dumping the useless kilometer numbers that clutter up the U.S. speedos. Does anyone around here actually count their speed in KM's? I've never heard of such here or in any magazine. Seems like it should have been dropped long ago for U.S. vehicles.

Anyway LX is much stronger facelift then GS, looks like a brand new vehicle. I love it. This is a new RR on the block trust me.
