Facelifted LX570 / Land Cruiser
This screen is close enough to have touch as well, they should have done that too.

Then you have the issue when the conquest buyer moves from his conquest car to a "legacy" car...he looses the modern interface and handwriting recognition etc. IE, you go from NX to RX...you go from IS to GS (assuming the IS gets it which I think it will)...etc. Thats a point of frustration. Legacy owners get into a conquest loaner and have an entirely different interface...point of frustration.
It just doesn't make sense. iDrive is iDrive, Comand is Comand, MMI is MMI. They need a consistent interface.

Looks great. Thought the front page would like to see the latest leaks too...

Is it going to be made of aluminum? If not I am not interested. All the flagship cars and trucks now are being made of aluminum to reduce weight. I would go for the MY2013 Range Rover HSE.
As for the tech inside, I hate the large (breakable) seatback LCD screens, and the huge LCD in the center of the dash looks tacked on (and tacky)....like the tacked-on LCD in all the new Mercedes. Yuck!

I wouldn't assume its not real metal. The metal trim in those areas on my LS is real.
I don't agree. Having two interfaces in their model lineup doesn't make any sense. It precludes those of us who drive "legacy" vehicles (which are the vast majority of Lexus drivers) from being able to access the latest technology, such as handwriting recognition, zone control and such. Even older people are accustomed to trackpad like devices, even moreso than a mouse because they've been around on laptops for what, 25 years? No other modern controller operates like the mouse type RTC controller.

LX has PADDLE SHIFTERS!!!

I wonder if the GX will receive an interior revisment to incorporate Remote Touch. It is officially the last of the Lexus touchscreens
but when i saw the new rx with RTC as well, that was a curve ball
I noted the same thing, structurally the same, just an exterior/cosmetic change, but when it's tinted, as it will be in the states, it should lend itself to a fairly different visual appearance in overall side profile daylight opening shape
