I'm looking forward to some better styling
And auto styling, in particular, tends to be subjective, where one person can love it and another hate it.
My brother just bought the 2015 Camry XSE with gaping maw. I currently own a 2014 Lexus GS 350 with the predator grill. My Aunt drives a 2012 Audi A6 with the trapazoid void. And the reason why we all bought these cars? Because we all think the front end looks fantastic.
So people who say these cars are ugly and wont sell, well apparently my family loves them. Just because one person says they are ugly trends does not speak for the rest of the general public. I personally love what car manufactuers are doing today than what they were building 15 years ago. Lexus is finally exciting to look at and fun to own.

Absolutely. Dicer makes a good point here. Unless we are taking about things like scientific or math formulas, for example, that describe the laws of physics, "sources" are often little more than other people's opinions.

It'd be different if he was merely stating his opinion.
Source and evidence, yes kind of like the pseudo science we have nowadays that has tons of fabricated lies.
The evidence is there all you need to do is observe and look out of the set box we have all been put in. As far as the cars and styling go there are no choices if you desire a new car. Yes you have the option of an old style you like. But that is the key it is old and old usually means it needs work. People buy a new car for reliability so they have to live with what ever the fad is for the manufactures. Maybe some of them are monkey see monkey do just like the makers of the cars and don't want something that looks too out of the norm set for us all by the manufacture.
So what is it you want a source on? If you really need that then start studying and find it.

I want you to cite the source of evidence you use to claim that most owners don't like the looks of cars and simply want something reliable. This whole time you've simply been asserting YOUR opinion as the opinion of the masses, which you cannot do unless you have tangible evidence that shows that both your opinion and the opinion of all the Camry/Accord buyers align. You are merely making hollow statements and assumptions, which lead to a weak argument. All this nonsense about boxes we have been placed in, etc. Spoiler alert: humans tend to drift to and follow similar trends.
IF that's the case, then yes, I agree with you on that part of it. But he did have a point that links are often just the opinions of others, and not always fact.
Nick, If you would like to fund the study, I would be happy to become a source and for this new job, I would be interviewing a large cross section of perspective car buyers as well as new car owners and even owners of older cars to build a data base on what is the determining factor/s in making the decision to purchase the make and style of vehicle they choose and most important if they could what aspect of the design would they change if they could.
