2016 Buick Verano
I am not sure what to think. The back 1/3 looks like a Hyundai Elantra. Buick did some weird things with the trunk and where the lines go down the rear. And I was hoping for a much better front end, something bold and more larger of a grille would of been cool.
Anyways, it looks like this Chevy Cruze based vehicle is really for the Asian market.

Conversely, on the other hand, they did a nice job on the tailpipe, and, (assuming that is the American version), I like the fact that they brought back the traditional tri-colored Buick logo-shield, which is something that I suggested to the Buick people several years ago. Unlike the other chrome, I didn't particularly like the former chrome-outline Buick shield, which, IMO, looked cheap....they used that only on the American-market Buicks. And the old Verano drove so nicely, and the interior was of high enough quality in materials, that this new version is going to have its work cut out for it trying to keep up. But, it may yet.....we'll see.

Buick's new Cascada convertible, BTW (which is essentially a soft top Verano), also lost some of its chrome trim.
Of course, even though I personally happen to like chrome (when not used to excess, of course, or on places where it could cause glare in the sun), it is simply cosmetic.....it doesn't do anything for the car's functionality or road-manners, so, it's not like the car is going to suffer without it.
Looks like very thin black lines to me....but, OK, I'll take your word for it. You're probably younger than me, with maybe a little sharper eyes.
